How do I place an order?

All orders can be placed through the Personalised or Artist Collection Shop pages and products. Simply add to cart and checkout as you would any other online retailer.

What is the jewellery made from?

All orders are made from the precious metal Sterling Silver.

Sterling Silver is a combination of 92.5% Fine Silver and 7.5% parts copper. The reason the metal is combined is because Fine Silver by itself is just too soft for daily wear without scratching or bending.

Please note all items are handmade from solid Sterling Silver.

I do not do any silver or gold plating as this reduces the life span of the items looking their best.

Plating can wear off over time and thus reduces it’s everlasting qualities without long term maintenance.

How do I care for my Jewellery?

Sterling Silver is a gorgeous precious metal that looks great if you take care of it.

Over time it can oxidise and lose its lustre.

Follow these tips for fabulous looking beautiful jewellery for generations:

  • Keep safe in a storage box or and wrapped in polishing cloth when not in use.
  • Keep dry – Avoid showering, bathing, swimming in your jewellery as the impurities in the water will affect the finish.
  • Avoid contact with chemicals in the form of cleaning products, lotions and perfumes. Allow makeup, lotions and creams time to absorb into your skin before wearing your jewellery.
  • Be gently when cleaning – use liquid washing detergent and warm water for any dirt and gently pat dry. Follow that with soft polish with cleaning cloth. Do not rub too hard on blackened areas as firm pressure may soften the look.
  • Store your jewellery individually so as not to scratch each other if metals are touching.
How long will my blackened jewellery last?

Your blackened jewellery is 100% Sterling Silver with a surface treatment applied. The blackened finish on items of Art to Charm will vary greatly over time based on how you look after your jewellery. That said this jewellery will last the same time as regular precious metals.

Sterling silver with blackened lines can be cared for as per any sterling silver as per the previous point in the FAQ. Blackened jewellery where the majority of the jewellery has been oxidised takes a little more care.

Please just gently wipe over the bright silver coloured areas on your jewellery only with your cleaning cloth to brighten them up over time. Hard application on the oxidised surface can remove the blackened finish so go gently.

As the oxidisation is only a surface treatment it will be affected mostly by general wear and chemical exposure. This means that if the surface gets rubbed repeatedly it may lighten the finish or even remove it back to normal silver colour. If the oxidised silver is exposed to chemicals such as makeup, moisturisers, sun creams, cleaning products or hair sprays the same as above can happen.

Please just be mindful when wearing your jewellery that you put your jewellery on after application and don’t wear in pools, showers and whilst doing the housework unless you’re after a worn look.

The variation of jewellery colours between black and silver creates a beautiful look and can look even better with age.

Why don't you make anything in gold?

At this stage I am only using Sterling Silver as it works best with the etching technique I use in my workshop.

In time I am hoping to introduce some gold products or a combination of the two metals as they work wonderfully together.

The ideas I have are in the development stages and are still needing work before they are introduced to you all.
